A.

7861

B.

3369

C.

5615

D.

10107

Correct option is D

Given:

The average price of three items of furniture is Rs 16845 .

The prices are in the ratio 3:5:7

Formula Used:

average price=sum of pricestotal itemsaverage \ price=\frac{sum \ of \ prices}{total \ items}

Solution:

Price of the first item = 3x3x3x
Price of the second item = 5x

Price of the third item = 7x7x

The sum of the prices :

3x+5x+7x3=16845\frac{3x + 5x + 7x }{3} = 16845

15x3=16845\frac{15x}{3} = 16845

5x=168455x = 16845

x=168455=3369x = \frac{16845}{5} = 3369

The cheapest item corresponds to the price 3x3x3x :

3x=3×3369=101073x = 3 \times 3369 = 10107

The price of the cheapest item is Rs 10107.
