    Information Booster

    A. Rathod - Jodhpur:
The Rathod (Rathore) dynasty was a prominent Rajput clan that established and ruled the powerful kingdom of Marwar, with their capital initially at Mandore, and later shifting to Jodhpur. The city of Jodhpur was founded by Rao Jodha, a Rathore chief, in 1459 CE, and remained the seat of the Rathore rulers for centuries until India's independence. The impressive Mehrangarh Fort dominates the city and is a testament to their rule.

    B. Sisodia - Udaipur:
The Sisodia dynasty was a revered Rajput clan, known for their tenacious resistance against Mughal rule. They were the ruling family of the Mewar region, and after the sack of their former capital Chittorgarh, Maharana Udai Singh II founded the city of Udaipur in 1559 CE and made it the new capital. Udaipur remained the capital of the Sisodias until the state of Mewar merged into the Union of India.

    Additional Knowledge

    C. Qaranah Turks - Jaunpur:
The Jaunpur Sultanate was ruled by the Sharqi dynasty (Eastern Dynasty), founded by Malik Sarwar, who was given the title Malik-us-Sharq by the Tughlaq Sultan. The rulers of Jaunpur were not Qaranah Turks. The Qaranah Turks (or Qaraunas) were associated with the Tughlaq dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate.

    D. Malik Kafur - Awadh:
Malik Kafur was a prominent and highly capable general of the Delhi Sultan, Alauddin Khilji. He is famous for his extensive military expeditions into South India. He was not associated with ruling Awadh (modern-day Oudh) as an independent entity or dynasty; Awadh was a province of the Delhi Sultanate.

    E. Karni Mata Temple - Jaipur:
The famous Karni Mata Temple, renowned as the "Temple of Rats" (Kabaas), is located in Deshnok, a small town approximately 30 km south of Bikaner, not Jaipur. Karni Mata is the Kuldevi (family deity) of the Rathore dynasty of Bikaner. There might be smaller local temples in Jaipur dedicated to her, but the major, historically significant temple is in Deshnok
