PARAM Ganga is an Indian-made petascale supercomputer with a computing capacity of 1.66 Petaflops (Peta Floating-Point Operations Per Second). It was installed at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, Uttarakhand, and became operational on March 7, 2022.
The supercomputer facility was inaugurated by B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, Chairman of the Board of Governors at IIT Roorkee.
PARAM Ganga was developed as part of Phase 2 of the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM). The design and deployment were carried out by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) under the mission’s strategic plan.
