    A.

    Rs. 45

    B.

    Rs. 40

    C.

    Rs. 60

    D.

    Rs. 55

    Correct option is C

    Given
    Selling price of 17 balls = Rs. 720.
    Loss = Cost price of 5 balls.
    Formula Used:
    Loss = CP - SP
    Solution:
    Let C be the Cost price of one ball
    As we know,
    Selling Price of 17 balls=Cost Price of 17 balls − Loss
    720 =17 − 5 C
    720 = 12 C
    72012\frac{720}{12}
    = 60
    Thus, the cost price of one ball is Rs.60
