     He was the last of the great Mughal emperors.

     He was an orthodox Muslim ruler who wanted to make Islam the state religion
     He executed his elder brother Dara Shikoh, Maratha king Sambhaji and the Sikh Guru Teg Bahadur.
     Unlike other Mughal emperors, he did not enjoy a luxurious life nor supported art and architecture.
