● At the provincial level, the Government of India Act 1919 introduced Dyarchy. Under it, the Governor-in-Council was in charge of the ‘Reserved subjects’ while the ministers were in charge of ‘transferred subjects’. Reserved subjects contained finance, land revenue, justice, police, prison, famine relief, irrigation, press, public service. Transferred subjects included local self-government, education, public health, agriculture, excise, public works and cooperative societies.
Therefore, option (c) is the correct answer.
