Question

If the surface area of a spherical ball is 616 m². Its volume is:

A.

1437.33 m³

B.

1238.33 m³

C.

1786.35 m³

D.

1657.29 m²

Correct option is A

Given:

Surface area of a spherical ball is 616 m².

Formula used:

Surface Area of Sphere = S=4πr2S = 4\pi r^2

Volume of Sphere = V=43πr3V = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3

Solution:

S=4πr2S = 4\pi r^2

616=4πr2616 = 4\pi r^2r2=6164π=61612.56=49 m2r^2 = \frac{616}{4\pi} = \frac{616}{12.56} = 49 \, \text{m}^2

=> rr= 7mm

So, Volume;

V=43πr3=43π(7)3=43π(343)V = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3 = \frac{4}{3} \pi (7)^3 = \frac{4}{3} \pi (343)

V=43×3.14×343=43×3.14×3431437.333 m3V = \frac{4}{3} \times 3.14 \times 343 = \frac{4}{3} \times 3.14 \times 343 \approx 1437.333 \, \text{m}^3

Thus the correct answer is (A)
