    Question

    If the length of a rectangular solar panel having an area of 110 m2\text{m}^2 is 10% more than its breadth, then what will be the breadth?

    A.

    10 m

    B.

    10310\sqrt3 m

    C.

    20320\sqrt3 m

    D.

    110 m

    Correct option is A

    Given:

    Area of rectangle = 110 m²

    Formula Used:
    Area of a rectangle = Length × Breadth

    Solution:

    Let breadth = x
    length = x+10% of x=1.1x

    Area =1.1x×x=1.1x2 1.1x \times x = 1.1x^2

    1.1x2=1101.1x^2 = 110

    x2=1101.1=100x^2 = \frac{110}{1.1} = 100

    x =100=1 \sqrt{100} = 10 meters
