A.

8 cm

B.

4 cm

C.

6 cm

D.

9 cm

Correct option is C

Given:

Length of rectangle is thrice its breadth

Perimeter of rectangle = 48cm

Formula Used:

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + b)

where l is length, b is breadth

Solution:

Let the breadth of rectangle be x

Then length will be 3x

Perimeter = 2(3x+x) = 48

2(4x) = 48

8x = 48

x = 6

The breadth of rectangle is 6cm
