Given:

f(x)=x+3x1f(x) = \frac{x + 3}{x - 1} 

find the value of f(f(f(2)))

Solution:

f(x)=x+3x1f(x) = \frac{x + 3}{x - 1} 

For f(2) We substitute x = 2 into the function f(x):

f(2)=2+321=51=5f(2) = \frac{2 + 3}{2 - 1} = \frac{5}{1} = 5 

For f(f(2)), which is f(5)

Now, we need to find f(5)f(5)f(5). We substitute x=5x = 5x=5 into the function f(x)f(x)f(x):

f(5)=5+351=84=2f(5) = \frac{5 + 3}{5 - 1} = \frac{8}{4} = 2 

For f(f(f(2))), which is f(2)  

f(2)=5f(2) = 5

Thus f(f(f(2)))=5f(f(f(2))) = 5​​​
