If 50+128=N\sqrt{50}+\sqrt{128}=\sqrt\text{N}50+128=N, what is the value of N?
Question

If 50+128=N\sqrt{50}+\sqrt{128}=\sqrt\text{N}, what is the value of N?

A.

338

B.

26

C.

390

D.

182

Correct option is A

Given:
50+128=N\sqrt{50} + \sqrt{128} = \sqrt{N}
Formula Used:
(a+b)2=a+b+2ab(\sqrt{a} + \sqrt{b})^2 = a + b + 2\sqrt{ab}
Solution:
50+128=50+128+250×128=178+26400=178+160=338\sqrt{50} + \sqrt{128} = \sqrt{50 + 128 + 2\sqrt{50 \times 128}} \\= \sqrt{178 + 2\sqrt{6400}} \\= \sqrt{178 + 160} \\= \sqrt{338}
So, N = 338
