Question

If 15% of A is equal to 18% of B, then what percentage of B is equal to 20% of A?

A.

25%

B.

42%

C.

24%

D.

20%

Correct option is C

Given:

15% of A = 18% of B

Solution:

15% of A = 18% of B

15A = 18B

A = 1815\frac{18}{15}B = 65\frac 65B

x% of B = 20% of A

x100×\frac{x}{100}\timesB = 20100×\frac{20}{100}\timesA

x100×\frac{x}{100}\timesB =20100×\frac{20}{100}\times65\frac 65 B

x = 20×65\times\frac 65

x = 24

Therefore, 24% of B is equal to 20% of A.
