Question

After interchanging the given two signs what will be the values of expression (I) and (II) respectively?
× and ÷
I. 8 + 4 – 6 × 3 ÷ 5
II. 20 + 15 × 30 ÷ 10

A.

18 and 14

B.

2 and 30

C.

6 and 17

D.

2 and 25

Correct option is D

Given:
× and ÷
I. 8 + 4 – 6 × 3 ÷ 5
II. 20 + 15 × 30 ÷ 10
I. 8 + 4 – 6 × 3 ÷ 5
After interchanging the sign, we get following equations-
8 + 4 – 6 ÷ 3 × 5
= 8 + 4 – 2 × 5
= 8 + 4 – 10
= 12 – 10
= 2
II. 20 + 15 × 30 ÷ 10
After interchanging the sign, we get following equations-
20 + 15 ÷ 30 × 10
= 20 + 0.5 × 10
= 20 + 5
= 25
Thus, the correct answer is (d) 2 and 25
