Given:

Speed for distance covered in 7 hours = 4 km/hr

Speed for distance covered in 2 hours = 2 km/hr

Formula Used:

Distance = Speed ×\times​ Time

Average Speed =Total DistanceTotal Time \frac{Total \ Distance}{Total \ Time}​​

Solution:

Distance covered at 4km/hr = 7 ×\times 4 = 28 km

Distance covered at 2km/hr = 2 ×\times 2 = 4 km

Total distance = 28 + 4 = 32 km

Total time = 9 hours
