Internal radius (r) = 15 cm

External radius (R) = 18 cm

π=227π= \frac{22}{7}​​

Formula Used:

Volume of a sphere = V = 43πr3\frac{4}{3} \pi r^3​​

Volume of the hollow shell = Vshell=43π(R3r3)V_{\text{shell}} = \frac{4}{3} \pi (R^3 - r^3)​​

Mass of the shell = Density×Volume\text{Density} \times \text{Volume}​​

Solution:

Putting the values in the formula;

Vshell=43π(183153)V_{\text{shell}} = \frac{4}{3} \pi (18^3 - 15^3)

​​Vshell=43π(58323325)V_{\text{shell}} = \frac{4}{3} \pi (5832 - 3325)​​

​​Vshell=43×227×2457V_{\text{shell}} = \frac{4}{3} \times \frac{22}{7} \times 2457 = 10296 cubic cm
