The notification for SSC MTS 2017 Exam was released on 31st December 2016. The closing date for the SSC MTS application process was 30th January 2017. The exam for the same was scheduled on 30th April 2017. But as the paper was leaked, SSC decided to re-conduct the paper through online examination from 16th September to 31st October 2017.
As per the notification released by SSC on 31st December, 2016, a total of 8300 vacancies is to be filled by SSC MTS 2017 exam this year. More than 6 million candidates have applied for SSC MTS 2017 exam as this exam is very popular among the candidates who are seeking a job in government sector.
The Paper-1 of SSC MTS 2017 was scheduled on 30th April 2017. But since the paper was leaked, SSC cancelled the scheduled exam. Now the paper will be conducted through online mode from 16th September to 31st October 2017 with a little variation in the pattern. Candidates are therefore requested to acclimatize themselves with the online mode of examination in the mean-time.

The Staff Selection Commission conducts Multi-Tasking Staff exam at various centres all over the country. Candidates are given the option to select the centre of their choice while filling in the application form. The final allotment of the centre by SSC is done based on the choice of the candidate. The notification for the same was released on 31st December 2016.
SSC or Staff Selection Commission conducts Multi-Tasking Staff Exam (MTS) every year in 2 different stages. It is mandatory for the candidate to qualify both these stages of examination in order to make it to the merit list prepared by SSC prepared at the end.
The examination of SSC MTS 2017 will be conducted in 2 different levels: Paer-1 and Paper-2.Paper-1 is an online exam which is objective multiple choice question type. Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination which includes a descriptive paper in Englishor any other language listed in the government policies.
As SSC MTS 2017 is going to be conducted online, major changes have been made in the exam pattern of SSC MTS 2017 Exam. The number of questions asked in General Awareness and General English Section has been reduced from 50 to 25. The overall duration of completing the paper has also been reduced from 120 minutes to 90 minutes.

There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfil in order to be eligible for SSC MTS 2017 Exam. Let’s have a look at all these three criteria:

Age: A candidate must be of minimum 18 years of age and must not exceed 25 years of age as on 01.08.2016. Apart from the pre mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.

The Application Fee for SSC MTS 2017 is Rs. 100/- candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. In addition to this, female candidates are also exempted from paying the application fee for SSC MTS 2017 exam.
The SSC MTS Result 2017 will be released after completion of each level of Examination. A candidate must qualify all the levels to ensure their final selection through SSC MTS 2017 Exam.
The cut-off for SSC MTS 2017 will be declared once the examination for the same is conducted and the result has been declared. The cut-off will depend upon the level of difficultyof the SSC MTS 2017 Exam as well as the number of candidates appearing for the exam.
