SSC MTS Syllabus and New Exam Pattern

The notification for SSC MTS 2017 exam was released on 31st December 2016. The last date to fillSSC MTS 2017 Application Form was 30th January 2017. SSC MTS 2017 Paper-1 was scheduled on 30th April 2017. But the paper was leaked, so, SSC decided to re-conduct SSC MTS 2017 paper in the month of September-October through online examination.

The exam dates have already been declared. SSC MTS 2017 Paper 1 will be conducted from 16th September to 31st October 2017 through online mode of examination for the very first time.

We know that SSC MTS 2017 will be conducted in two stages:

SSC MTS 2017 Paper 1

Paper 1 of SSC MTS will be conducted online from 16th September to 31st October 2017. Number of questions asked in General Awareness and General English Section has been reduced from 50 to 25. The overall duration of completing the paper has also been reduced from 120 minutes to 90 minutes.

SSC MTS 2017 Paper 2

Paper 2 of SSC MTS 2017 will be a descriptive Paper to test the writing skills of a candidate. A candidate has to write a short essay or letter in English or any other Language as mentioned under the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India to clear this examination.

Penalty for wrong answers

0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in Paper-1. Candidates are thus required to attempt every question carefully. There will be no negative marking in Paper-2 of SSC MTS 2017

Final Selection

The final selection of a candidate through SSC MTS 2017 will be made on the basis of marks obtained by a candidate in Paper1 and Paper2. The cumulative score of both these examinations will be taken into consideration for the final selection of candidate through SSC MTS 2017 Exam.
