Age Limit
Candidates are required to ensure they are within their age limit before applying for the SSC JE Exam. Age relaxation beyond the Upper age limit has been provided as per the reservation rules. The minimum age required is 18 years. The upper age limit is generally 30 years, while for some departments and posts, it is 32 years.

The applicants should be citizens of any of the following regions. They are eligible to take the exam as per the SSC JE Recruitment if they fulfill any of the criteria of nationality as listed below:

SSC JE 2026 Application Form
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements could fill out the online form by visiting the official site @ssc.gov.in within the given time frame. The SSC JE apply online link will be open to candidates from the Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering branches.
Steps to Apply for SSC JE Recruitment 2026
Interested candidates should follow these steps for an easy application process for SSC JE 2026:
Step 1: Go to the official SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in/).
Step 2: Open the registration link for SSC JE in a new window.
Step 3: Click on the "New User/Register Now" link.
Step 4: Provide basic details like name, parent's name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.
Step 5: Submit the online registration form. Make sure to verify all details before submission. You'll receive a Registration ID.
Step 6: Upload your photograph and signature according to SSC guidelines.
Photograph: Taken against a white or light-colored background, size between 4 kb and 12 kb, resolution of 100*120 pixels.
Signature: Black or blue ink on a white sheet, scanned copy in jpg format, size between 1 kb and 12 kb, resolution of 40*60 pixels.
Step 7: Log in with your registered ID and password to complete Part II of the application form.
Step 8: Preview the entire application for any errors before final submission. Once submitted, the form cannot be edited.
Step 9: Click on "Final Submit" and pay the required application fee online via Net-Banking, Credit/Debit cards, BHIM, UPI, etc.
Step 10: It's recommended to download and print copies of the submitted application form for SSC JE.

Candidates who are successfully chosen for SSC JE will initially assume positions as Junior Engineers within the Group 'B' Non-Gazetted category.
