SSC CHSL Syllabus 2025
The SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam or 10+2 level Exam includes two exam stages such as Tier 1 and Tier 2. The Commission is going to conduct SSC CHSL 2025 Exam (Tier 1) from 8th to 18th September 2025. Candidates planning to appear for this year's examination must check Tier 1 syllabus which includes English Language, Reasoning, Maths (Basic Arithmetic Skill), and General Awareness. Each subject has its own weightage in the exam, and candidates must not skip any of it. The Tier 1 examination includes 100 questions from General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, General Reasoning, and English Language section and total marks is 200. Module II of Section III features a Skill Test/Typing Test conducted during Session II on the same day. This test evaluates candidates' skills and typing abilities. It is qualifying in nature, and candidates must adhere to the evaluation guidelines available on the Commission's website. SSC CHSL Skill Test for DEO/DEO Grade A Posts
For DEO/DEO Grade A posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Culture: Candidates' proficiency in typing speed of 15000 key depressions per hour on a computer, will be evaluated based on accurately inputting words/key depressions from a provided passage. The duration of the test is 15 minutes, during which candidates will be given printed English material containing approximately 3700-4000 key depressions to be entered into the computer.
For DEO/DEO Grade A posts in other departments: The evaluation of a candidate's "Data Entry Speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on Computer" will be determined by accurately inputting words/key depressions from a provided passage. The test will last for 15 minutes, during which candidates will be provided with printed English material containing approximately 2000-2200 key depressions to be entered into the computer.
SSC CHSL Typing Test for LDC/JSA Post
Candidates can choose either Hindi or English as the medium for the Typing Test during the application process. Those selecting English should achieve a typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.), while those opting for Hindi should attain a speed of 30 w.p.m.
These speeds equate to approximately 10,500 key depressions per hour for English and 9,000 key depressions per hour for Hindi. The Typing Test evaluates typing accuracy on a given text passage within a 10-minute timeframe. Candidates eligible for a scribe as per specified criteria will receive an additional 5 minutes, resulting in a 15-minute duration for their Typing Test.
