SSC CGL 2017 Tier-I Exam Analysis

SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 exam is scheduled from 5th August to 24th August. The entire Quantitative Aptitude Paper was Easy. Questions were asked directly based on formulas. A few questions demanded rigorous calculations. Maximum questions were asked from Partnerships, Speed, Distance and Time Mixture and Allegations etc.

General Intelligence/Reasoning

The General Intelligence/Reasoning section of SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 exam was moderate. While the Paper Cutting and Folding questions were easy, the questions asked from series were really difficult to anticipate. No questions were asked from order/ranking and direction.

English Language

Surprisingly, this year, the English Section was Moderate level with no Reading Comprehension. Synonyms and Antonyms that are really difficult to figure out turned out to be an easy piece of cake. The overall section easy-moderate. Maximum questions were asked from Cloze Test.

General Awareness

General Awareness yet again was direct and easy. The major area of focus this year was on General Awareness questions in the field of sports and awards and honors. Science was given a higher weightage this time in General Awareness Section of SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 Exam. The overall paper was of Moderate level.

SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 Expected Cut-Off

The cut-off for SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 will be published after the result of SSC CGL Tier-1 2017. The cut-off will be rolled out both State-Wise and Category-Wise. Candidates will get a proper idea about their chances of selection through the final cut-off for Tier-1 of SSC CGL 2017 Exam.
