Shanti Ghosh was a prominent revolutionary from Bengal who actively participated in India's freedom struggle. Along with Suniti Chaudhary, she was involved in the assassination of a British magistrate, Stevens, in 1931 as part of their revolutionary activities. This act of defiance made her a symbol of courage and determination in the independence movement.

Suniti Chaudhary was another significant woman revolutionary from Bengal. Alongside Shanti Ghosh, she was involved in the assassination of the British magistrate Stevens in 1931. Both women were teenagers at the time, which showcased the spirit and commitment of young revolutionaries in the fight for freedom.

Bina Das was a member of the Chhatri Sangha, a revolutionary women's organization in Bengal. In 1932, she attempted to assassinate Stanley Jackson, the then Governor of Bengal, during a convocation ceremony at the University of Calcutta. Her courageous act underscored the involvement of women in the revolutionary activities of the freedom struggle.

Kalpana Dutt (Joshi) was a member of the armed resistance group led by Surya Sen (Masterda) in Chittagong, now in Bangladesh. She played a vital role in the Chittagong Armoury Raid of 1930, a significant event in the history of India’s revolutionary movement. She was later arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment but continued to be a symbol of resistance.

All four women – Shanti Ghosh, Suniti Chaudhary, Bina Das, and Kalpana Dutt (Joshi) – were prominent revolutionaries who made significant contributions to the Indian independence movement.
