Correct option is D
The correct answer is: (D) Deferred rotational grazing
Explanation
Deferred rotational grazing is considered the superior system of grazing management in grasslands. In this system, the pasture is divided into several paddocks, and grazing is rotated between them. The key feature of deferred rotational grazing is that specific paddocks are deferred (left ungrazed) during certain periods to allow the grass to recover and regenerate. This approach ensures optimal grass growth, prevents overgrazing, and maintains the ecological balance of the grassland. The periodic rest periods allow the grasses to recover and enhance the long-term productivity of the pasture.

Information Key Points:
Deferred rotational grazing: Helps maintain soil health, enhances forage regeneration, and reduces overgrazing.
Continuous grazing: Involves animals grazing on the same area year-round, leading to overgrazing, soil erosion, and degradation of grasslands.
Deferred grazing: Refers to the practice of resting pastures during specific periods.
Rotational grazing: Involves rotating animals between different paddocks, making it less effective in the long term compared to deferred rotational grazing.
