Given:

Resistor A: R1R_1 = 6Ω\Omega

​​Resistor B: R2R_2 = 12Ω\Omega

​​Voltage: V = 3V

Formula used:

Formula for total resistance RtotalR_{total} in parallel:

1Rtotal\frac{1}{R_{total}} = 1R1+1R2\frac{1}{R_1} + \frac{1}{R_2}

Solution:

1Rtotal\frac{1}{R_{total}} = 16+112\frac{1}{6}+ \frac{1}{12}

1Rtotal\frac{1}{R_{total}} = 212+112=312\frac{2}{12}+\frac{1}{12} = \frac{3}{12}

1Rtotal\frac{1}{R_{total}} = 123\frac{12}{3} = 4Ω4\Omega

Calculate the total current-
