Total how many boys speak Hindi?
Given:
· Total students = 400
· Boys : Girls = 3 : 5 => Boys = (3/8) × 400 = 150
· 12% of boys speak only Hindi => 12% of 150 = 18 boys
· Number of boys speaking both languages = 6 × 18 = 108 boys
Concept: Total boys who speak Hindi = Boys who speak only Hindi + Boys who speak both languages.
Solution: = 18 (only Hindi) + 108 (both languages) = 126
