Question

The LCM of fractions is calculated as LCM of the numeratorHCF of the denominator\frac{LCM \space of \space the \space numerator}{HCF \space of \space the \space denominator}. Find the LCM of 56,65\frac{5}{6} , \frac{6}{5} and 32.\frac{3}{2}.

A.

25

B.

30

C.

15

D.

20

Correct option is B

Given:

56,65,32\frac56, \frac65, \frac32

Solution:

For LCM :

5 = 5×\times 1

6 = 2 ×\times 3

3 = 3 ×\times 1

LCM = 2×\times3×\times5 = 30

For HCF:

6 = 2×\times3

5 =  1×\times5

2 =  1×\times2

HCF is 1

So, LCM of the fraction =  301\frac{30}1  = 30
