Question

The following Pie chart shows the percentage distribution of runs scored by a batsman in a test innings.

If the batsman has scored a total of 360 runs, how many 4's and 6's did he hit?

A.

30 and 3

B.

31 and 2

C.

27 and 6

D.

25 and 8

Correct option is C

100% = 360 runs

30% runs made by using 4's

30% = 360/100 ×30 = 108 runs using4's

Number of 4's = 108/4 = 27

Similarly,

10% runs made by using 6's

10% = 360/100 ×10 = 36 runs using 6's

Number of 6's = 36/6 = 6
