Question

The dimensions of a cuboidal storage space are 20 m, 25 m, and 10 m. How many boxes of dimension 2 m × 1.25 m × 1 m can be kept in it?

A.

8000

B.

2000

C.

6000

D.

4000

Correct option is B

Given:

Dimensions of cuboid space are 20m, 25m and 10m

Dimensions of boxes are 2m , 1.25m and 1m

Formula Used:

Volume of cuboid = l×b×h l \times b \times h

Solution:

If n number of boxes can be kept in the storage space then:

Volume of space = n×n \times Volume of boxes

20×25×10=n×2×1.25×120 \times 25 \times 10 = n \times 2 \times 1.25 \times 1

n=20×25×102×1.25×1n= \frac{20 \times 25 \times 10}{2 \times 1.25 \times 1}

n = 2000
