Solve the following. 3[(35 + (45 + 10 ÷ 2 ×\times× 3 – 50) + 5]
Question

Solve the following.
3[(35 + (45 + 10 ÷ 2 ×\times 3 – 50) + 5]

A.

50

B.

150

C.

123

D.

125

Correct option is B

Given:

Expression: 3[35+(45+102×350)+5] 3 \left[ 35 + \left( 45 + \frac{10}{2} \times 3 - 50 \right) + 5 \right]

Solution:

Calculate inside the parentheses (45+102×350)\left( 45 + \frac{10}{2} \times 3 - 50 \right)

(45+5×350)=(45+1550)=10\left( 45 + 5 \times 3 - 50 \right) = \left( 45 + 15 - 50 \right) = 10

3[35+10+5]=3×50=150 3 \left[ 35 + 10 + 5 \right] = 3 \times 50 = 150
