Six vendors A, B, C, D, E and F sell the same items in the market. Only three vendors sold less items than F. A sold more items than C. E did not sell
Question

Six vendors A, B, C, D, E and F sell the same items in the market. Only three vendors sold less items than F. A sold more items than C. E did not sell the most items. D sold more items than C and A, but less than F. If B sold 20 items, then what can be the number of items sold by E?

A.

22

B.

23

C.

18

D.

25

Correct option is C

Step 1 (Fix F): "Only 3 vendors sold less than F".
Order (6 slots): _ > _ > F > _ > _ > _
(F is at Rank 3).

Step 2 (The Bottom Half): "D sold less than F but more than C and A". "A > C".
So, D > A > C.
This fills the bottom 3 slots perfectly: _ > _ > F > D > A > C.

Step 3 (The Top Half): "E did not sell the most".
Remaining vendors: B and E.
Since E isn't #1, B is #1 and E is #2.

Final Sequence: B > E > F > D > A > C.

Conclusion: If B sold 20, E must have sold less than 20 (e.g., 18 or 19).
B is the Topper. E is second. E<20.
