A.

9

B.

12

C.

3

D.

Correct option is C

Given:

Distance of each lap = 360 m

Time taken for the first lap = 60 sec

Time taken for the second lap = 180 sec

Formula Used:

Average Speed = Total DistanceTotal Time\frac{\text{Total Distance}}{\text{Total Time}}

Solution:

Total Distance = 360m + 360m = 720m

Total Time = 60sec + 180sec = 240sec

Average Speed = 720240=3 m/sec\frac{720 }{240} = 3 \, \text{m/sec}
