Question

If the difference between the two numbers is 30 percent of their sum, then what is the ratio of larger number and smaller number?

A.

14:3

B.

12:5

C.

13:7

D.

15:7

Correct option is C

Solution:
Difference = 30% of their sum
L - S = 30100\frac{30}{100}(L + S)
Where  L = larger number, S = smaller number
100 L - 100S = 30L+ 30 S

70 L = 130S

L/S = 13/7
