If 1 is added to each odd digit and 2 is subtracted from each even digit in the number 4681342. What will be difference between the highest and lowest digits thus formed?

The given information is :

1 is added to each odd digit.

2 is subtracted from each even digit.

Here odd is 1 and 3.

After adding 1 in all odd digit then we get : 1+1= 2 , 3+1 = 4

Even digit is: 4,6,8,4 and 2

After subtract 2 from all even digit we get:

4-2=2 , 6-2= 4, 8-2 =6, 2-2= 0

thus the highest digit is 6 and lowest digit is 0 

therefore 6-0 = 6
