I. x² – 14x + 48 =0
x² – 6x – 8x + 48 = 0
x(x – 6) – 8 (x – 6) = 0
(x – 8) (x – 6) = 0
x= 8, 6
II. 2y² – 19y + 45 = 0
2y² – 10y – 9y + 45 = 0
2y (y – 5) – 9(y – 5) = 0
(2y – 9) (y – 5) = 0
y=9/2,5
x > y
