    Question

    Height of a cuboid is 4cm less than its breadth and length is 6cm more than its breadth. If length of cuboid is 20cm, then what will be the volume of cuboid?

    A.

    2200 cm^3

    B.

    2800 cm^3

    C.

    3200 cm^3

    D.

    5040 cm^3

    Correct option is B

    The height of the cuboid is 4 cm less than its breadth. Therefore, the height h is:
    h=b−4
    The length of the cuboid is 6 cm more than its breadth. Therefore, the length lll is:
    l=b+6
    We are given that the length l=20, so:
    b+6=20
    b=20−6=14cm
    Since h=b−4
    h=14−4=10 cm
    The volume V of a cuboid is given by:
    V=l×b×h
    Substitute the values of l=20 cm, b=14 cm, and h=10 cm:
    V=20×14×10=2800 cm3cm^3
