Given:

Number = 12

Factor excluding 1 and 12

Solution:

12 = 2×2×3

12 = 22 × 31

Number of factors = (2 + 1) × (1 + 1) = 6

Factors of 12 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12

∴ Number of factors excluding 1 and 12 are 4 factors i.e. 2, 3, 4, 6.
