2. Total weight of 6 boxes is 72 kg more than the total weight of 4 boxes.

A.

Statement 1 and 2 are not sufficient.

B.

Statement 2 alone is sufficient.

C.

Either of the statements 1 or 2 is sufficient.

D.

Statement 1 alone is sufficient.

Correct option is C

Given:
What is the total weight of 10 cartons of Mangoes? Each of them weigh equal.
Statements:
1. One third of each boxes weight is 12 kg.
Total weight of each box = (12 ×\times 3) = 36kg
So, total weight of 10 cartons of Mangoes = (36 ×\times 10) = 360 kg
2. Total weight of 6 boxes is 72 kg more than the total weight of 4 boxes.
Let weight of each box be 'x' kg
According to statement:
6x = 4x + 72
2x = 72
x = 36kg
So, total weight of 10 cartons of Mangoes = (36 ×\times 10) = 360kg
Either of the statements 1 or 2 is sufficient.
Thus, correct option is (c).
