Question

All 29 people are standing in a row facing north. KLM is 8th from the right end, while PRQ is 12th from the left end. How many people are there between KLM and PRQ?

A.

7

B.

9

C.

8

D.

10

Correct option is B

Given: KLM is 8th from the right in a total of 29 people.
Formula: Position from the left = Total - Right + 1
29 - 8 + 1 = 22
So, KLM is at position 22 from the left.
PRQ's Position from the Left
PRQ is already 12th from the left.
Now,  People between KLM and PRQ = (22 - 12 - 1) = 9
Thus, the correct option is (b) 9
