Initial quantity of milk = 240×712=140 liters\frac{240 \times 7}{12} = 140 \, \text{liters} 

Initial quantity of water = 240×512=100 liters\frac{240 \times 5}{12} = 100 \, \text{liters} 

ATQ, 140+X100=180100\frac{140 + X}{100} = \frac{180}{100} 

​​700 + 5X = 900

5X = 200

X = 40
