    Question

    A circle of radius 8 cm circumscribed a square. The length of the side of the square is:

    A.

    2√2 cm

    B.

    6√2 cm

    C.

    8√2 cm

    D.

    4√2 cm

    Correct option is C

    Given:

    Radius o Circle = 8 cm

    Solution:

    Diameter of the circle = 2 × 8 = 16 cm.

    Diagonal of the square = √2 a

    As we know

    If square inscribed in a circle, then

    Diagonal of the square = Diameter of the circle

    √2 a = 16

     a = 16/√2

     a = 8 √2
