Given:

400 apples bought at Rs 1240 per hundred

Total profit = Rs 840

Solution:

Cost price for 400 apples = 1240100\frac{1240}{100}​ × 400 = Rs 4960

Total selling price = 4960 + 840 = Rs 5800

Selling price per apple = 5800400\frac{5800}{400}​ = Rs 14.5

Selling price per dozen = 14.5 × 12 = Rs 174
