The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025, for recruitment to Non-Technical posts in various Ministries, Departments, Constitutional/Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals of the Government of India. Additionally, this recruitment includes Havaldar posts in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN).
The official notification was released on 26 June 2025, announcing a total of 5,464 vacancies (MTS: 4,375 and Havaldar: 1,089). The online application process will be open from 26 June to 24 July 2025. The selection process includes a Computer-Based Examination (Paper 1) and, for Havaldar posts, a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST).

Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two Sessions: Session-I and Session-II, on the same day and both the Sessions will be mandatory.
The candidates will get 45 minutes to complete Session-I. On completion of 45 minutes, Session-I will get automatically closed.
Immediately after completion of Session-I, Session-II will start. Session-II will also be for 45 minutes and immediately on completion of 45 minutes, Session-II and, hence, the Computer Based Examination will come to an end.
