Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 20 to 28 years (as of 1 April 2025)
- Age Relaxations (as per SBI norms):
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (General/EWS): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex‑Servicemen/Disabled Ex‑Servicemen: actual service + 3 years
- Widows/Divorced Women/Judicially Separated (not remarried): 7 years
(Additional relaxations for trained apprentices)
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year students may also apply if they submit proof of graduation by 31 December 2025.
Nationality
Although not explicitly cited, SBI typically allows:
- Indian citizens,
- Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan,
- Tibetan refugees (arrived before 1962), and

Selection Process
Consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Prelims) – Objective test (qualifying nature)
- Main Examination (Mains) – Objective test; used for final merit
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT) – Local language test; mandatory for final appointment

- Starting Basic Pay: ₹24,050 (with initial increments for graduates)
- Total Starting Salary: Approx. ₹46,000 per month (in metro cities), inclusive of allowances.
