This batch is structured to align with the official exam patterns of major Railway recruitment exams:
RRB Group D – CBT Exam Pattern
- Total Questions: 100
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Subjects:
Mathematics – 25 Questions
General Intelligence & Reasoning – 30 Questions
General Science – 25 Questions
General Awareness & Current Affairs – 20 Questions - Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer
Eligibility Criteria – RRB Group D
- Age Limit:
18 to 33 years
(Age relaxation applies for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-servicemen as per government norms) - Educational Qualification:
Must have passed 10th Standard (SSLC) or ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT
Selection Process – RRB Group D
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Single-stage objective test
- Covers: Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness & Current Affairs
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Questions: 100
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Qualifying in nature
- Different standards for Male and Female candidates:
- Male: Lift and carry 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down + run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds
- Female: Lift and carry 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down + run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds
Document Verification (DV)
- Original certificates (age, education, caste, etc.) will be verified
Medical Examination
- Final stage to assess physical fitness for the post
- Includes vision standards as prescribed by Railway Board
Note
- PET is qualifying only – no marks awarded but must be cleared to move forward
- Medical Fitness is mandatory to get the final appointment
- Selection is purely based on merit and document verification
- Candidates must ensure accurate details while applying; discrepancies may lead to disqualification
- RRB exams are conducted region-wise, and candidates must apply through the appropriate RRB zone
