Exam Pattern

Nature of Paper: The Prelim paper is qualifying in nature.
Duration: Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam.
Structure: Total Questions: 100 (Nursing Subjects: 80 MCQs & Non-Nursing Subjects: 20 MCQs).
Sectional Breakdown: The question paper is divided into 5 sections.
Each section contains 20 questions.
Candidates will have 18 minutes to answer the questions in each section.

Main Exam Pattern 2024

The pattern of the AIIMS NORCET Main exam is detailed below. Only the candidates who clear the prelim exams will qualify for the Main exam.

Qualifying Criteria: Candidates who rank in the top five times the number of available seats will be declared qualified.
Total Questions: 100 MCQs
Duration: 90 minutes
Negative Marking: A 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Sections: The exam is divided into 5 sections, each containing questions related to nursing subjects, with 18 minutes allocated for each section.
Scenario-Based Questions: The main stage will include scenario-based questions to assess nursing competency.
Final Selection: Successful candidates will be assigned AIIMS locations based on their rank in the merit list and their preferences.
