SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2024

All the aspiring candidates who are dreaming of SSC CHSL 2024 will have to abide by all the SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria as decided by the SSC Commission. The candidates are advised to go through the requirements of educational qualification, age, physical standards, etc., and satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the post(s) before applying. All the aspiring candidates of SSC CHSL 2024 have to abide by all the Eligibility Criteria decided by the Commission.

Nationality
A candidate must be either:
a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

Educational Qualification (1/8/2024)

The educational qualification according to the vacancy applied is as follows:

(A) The basic requirement is a pass certificate in class 12th from a recognized board or university.

(B) For the post of DEO in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), applicants must have studied science and mathematics as the main subjects in Class 12th.

Age Limit (1/8/2024)

Every candidate who is going to Apply Online for the SSC CHSL Examination 2024 has to fulfill the following age criteria. The important date for determining age is set as 1st August 2024. The age requirement for the positions is between 18 and 27 years old. This means candidates must have been born between 2nd August 1997, and 1st August 2006, to be eligible to apply.

1. Minimum Age – 18 years
2. Maximum Age – 27 years

SSC CHSL Essential Educational Qualifications As On 1/8/2024

For LDC/ JSA, and DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): Candidates must have passed the 12th  Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized  Board or University.

For Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A’) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

The candidates who have appeared in their 12th Standard or equivalent examination can also apply, however, they must possess Essential qualifications on or before the cutoff date of 1st August 2024.

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2024

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination to recruit candidates for positions in various government departments and ministries. The updated selection process for the SSC CHSL 2024 consists of two main stages: Tier I and Tier II.

Tier-I -Objective Multiple Choice
Tier-II - Objective Multiple Choice + Skill Test & Typing Test, Tier-II will include three sections having two modules each
