Exam Pattern
JPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2023:
The JPSC Prelims exam has two papers- General Studies-I and General Studies-II.
- All of the questions in the JPSC Prelims are objective-type.
- Each paper consists of 100 questions with each question carrying 2 marks.
- The duration for each paper in the JPSC Prelims is 2 hours.
- Both Hindi and English are used in the JPSC question paper.
The JPSC Prelims exam pattern is as follows:

JPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2023
The candidates who will clear the JPSC Prelims will eligible to appear for the JPSC Mains exam for which the key points are mentioned below:
- The JPSC Mains Exam consists of six papers that are descriptive in nature.
- Paper I is a qualifying paper.
- The duration for each paper in the Mains exam is 3 hours.
- The merit list will be compiled based on the results of the JPSC Mains Exam (Except Paper I) and the Interview.
The JPSC Mains Exam Pattern is tabulated below:
