Overview
The CLAT Counselling Expert Support Batch is a comprehensive, end-to-end guidance program designed to help students convert their CLAT rank into the best possible NLU outcome. This batch focuses on data-backed decision-making, error-free counselling, and continuous expert support across all counselling rounds—so no opportunity is missed and no mistake is made.
Students get access to last year’s detailed cut-off data (round-wise, category-wise, and college-wise) to build a realistic and rank-optimized preference strategy. Weekly LIVE Q&A sessions with experienced CLAT faculty ensure every doubt related to counselling, preferences, float/freeze decisions, and vacant seat rounds is resolved in real time.
Why should I take CLAT counselling support from experts?
We use previous year closing ranks, round-wise movement analysis, and seat conversion ratios to estimate your best-possible NLUs realistically—rather than misleading “sure-shot” advice
Students often underutilize available advantages (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/Women/Domicile). Counsellors ensure you fully leverage every eligible reservation legally and strategically.
Instead of panicking over Telegram groups and rumours, you get clear, single-point guidance, allowing you to focus on Class 12 results or backup plans.
Product Highlights:
- Last Year's Cutoff (Round-wise, Category-wise, College-wise)
- Weekly LIVE Q & A sessions to resolve doubts regarding counselling.
- End-to-end assistance with application forms, documentation, and submission for CLAT Counselling
- Regular updates and alerts on counselling dates, notices, and important announcements
- College Health Report
- In-Person Counselling, Physical Support Helpdesk at Offline Centres
1. What is CLAT counselling?
CLAT counselling is the centralized admission process conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) to allocate seats to candidates based on their CLAT rank, preferences, and seat availability.
2. Who is eligible to participate in CLAT counselling?
Candidates who have qualified for CLAT and whose names appear in the CLAT merit list (rank list) are eligible to participate in counselling.
3. Is CLAT counselling mandatory for admission into NLUs?
Yes. Even if you have a good CLAT rank, you cannot secure admission to any NLU unless you register and participate in CLAT counselling.
4. How do I register for CLAT counselling?
You must log in to the official CLAT website using your registered credentials, opt for counselling, and pay the counselling registration fee within the given deadline.
6. How many rounds are conducted in CLAT counselling?
Usually, there are 5 counselling rounds, including regular rounds and vacant seat rounds, but the exact number may vary each year.
7. How are seats allotted in CLAT counselling?
Seats are allotted based on:
- Your CLAT rank
- NLU preferences filled by you
- Category (General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD)
- Seat availability in each round
8. What are the options after seat allotment?
After a seat is allotted, you can choose one of the following options:
- Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and exit counselling
- Float: Accept the seat but remain open for a better NLU in the next round
- Exit: Reject the seat and leave the counselling process
9. Can I change my NLU preference order during counselling?
No. Once the counselling process begins, the NLU preference order cannot be changed.
10. What happens if I do not pay the counselling fee or miss the deadline?
If you miss the counselling registration or payment deadline, you will be disqualified from further rounds, regardless of your CLAT rank.
11. What documents are required during counselling and admission?
Commonly required documents include:
- CLAT Admit Card & Scorecard
- Class 10- & 12-Mark Sheets
- Category/Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
- PwD Certificate (if applicable)
- Transfer Certificate
- Migration Certificate
- Passport-size photographs
12. What is the vacant seat round?
The vacant seat round is conducted after regular counselling rounds to fill leftover seats. Only eligible and registered candidates can participate.
13. Can I withdraw from CLAT counselling and get a refund?
Yes, but refund eligibility and amount depend on when you exit the counselling process. Refund rules are notified officially by the Consortium each year.
14. Is admission guaranteed if I participate in counselling?
No. Seat allotment depends on your rank, category, preferences, and availability of seats. Participation alone does not guarantee admission.
15. Can I take admission in a private law college without CLAT counselling?
Yes. CLAT counselling is only for NLUs. Private law universities may have their own admission processes.
16. Where will counselling updates and results be published?
All official counselling updates, allotment results, and notices are published on the official CLAT website of the Consortium.
