The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC Stenographer Revised Result 2026 (First Round of Tentative Allocation - FRTA) for the Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Examination 2025 on 31 July 2026. The revised FRTA has been published after a review of the Skill Test evaluation following representations received from candidates regarding inaccuracies in the earlier result declared on 18 June 2026. Candidates can now check the revised allocation status, category-wise cut-off details, and department-wise allocation through the official SSC website.

The Commission has published the Revised First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) for candidates who qualified the Skill Test and submitted their online post preferences. Candidates can download the revised result PDF from the official SSC website to check their allocation status along with the department and post allotted.

Why Was the SSC Stenographer FRTA Revised?
The Commission had initially declared the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) on 18 June 2026, recommending:
- 228 candidates for Stenographer Grade 'C'
- 1,483 candidates for Stenographer Grade 'D'
However, on 19 June 2026, SSC withheld the allocation after receiving representations from candidates alleging inaccurate evaluation of the Stenography Skill Test. After conducting a detailed review, the Commission revised the FRTA and prepared the allocation in accordance with the Sliding Mechanism introduced through its notice dated 3 March 2026.
Steps to Check Your Result
Follow the simple steps below to check and download your SSC Stenographer Result 2025:
- Visit the official website ssc.gov.in
- Click on the Result tab at the top menu.
- Under the Stenographer's ‘C’ & ‘D’ section, find and click on the relevant result link.
- A new page will open with the Result PDF.
- Press Ctrl + F to search for your name or roll number.
- If your number appears, you’ve successfully cleared the CBT and are eligible for the Skill Test.
- Download and save the PDF for future reference
What Happens After the Revised FRTA?
SSC has informed candidates that the revised allocation has been prepared under the newly introduced Sliding Mechanism to maximise vacancy utilisation. The schedule for the sliding process is:
Slot Booking: 4 August to 5 August 2026
Sliding Process: 11 August to 12 August 2026
Venue: Regional Offices of SSC (to be selected through the login module)
Candidates must physically attend the allotted sliding process. Those who fail to appear will be treated as absent and will not be considered for the final result.
