IBPS SO 2017 Exam

IBPS SO 2017 Exam is going to be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to select eligible candidates for various posts like that of Agriculture Field Officer, Marketing Officer (Scale I), HR/Personnel Officer, IT Officer Scale I, Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari Scale I. The latest notification released by IBPS states that now 2 phase selection process shall be implied on selecting candidates for the pre-mentioned posts through IBPS SO Exam. The candidates who qualify both these rounds will be further considered for the final interview process.

The tentative date for commencement of IBPS SO 2017 Preliminary exam is on 30th and 31st December 2017. IBPS SO Mains examination 2017 will be conducted on 28th January 2017.

IBPS SO 2017 Recruitment

The recruitment process to select Specialist Officer through IBPS SO 2017 is done in three phases: Online Preliminary Exam, Online Mains Exam and Interview. A candidate must qualify both preliminary exam and mains exam to proceed to the interview round. The candidates selected after the interview round are given the appointment letter.

The eligibility criteria are different for different positions for which the candidates are selected through IBPS SO 2017 Exam. There are three parameters (citizenship, age limit and educational qualification) on which a candidate is judged to be eligible for IBPS SO 2017 Exam.

IBPS SO 2017 Syllabus

IBPS SO exam syllabus is no different from any other bank exam. While IBPS issues only the broad subjects, they can be further subdivided into individual topics, based on the questions that have appeared in the exams over the past few years. The IBPS SO syllabus is divided into two parts:

IBPS SO Preliminary Exam Syllabus: This has main section of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language.

IBPS SO Mains Exam Syllabus: Asks questions from specialised course apart from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness.

It is important to note that the Specialised Section will be different for candidates applying for different posts through SBI SO 2017 exam

IBPS SO 2017 Application Fee

A candidate is required to pay Rs. 600/- (General and OBC) as their application fee for IBPS SO 2017 exam. The same amount is narrowed down to Rs. 100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.

IBPS SO Admit Card

The IBPS SOAdmit Card 2017 will be released once the application process for the same is complete. Admit card for Preliminary Exam will be released first followed by the admit card for Mains Exam. The admit card for Mains Exam will be issued to candidates who have qualified the preliminary test.

IBPS SO Results

The results for IBPS SO 2017 Exam will be released after the completion of each phase of the exam. The main thing to notice here is that a cumulative score of the preliminary exam, mains exam and the interview is considered to prepare the final merit list of selected students. The merit list is prepared in the descending order of the marks obtained by candidates. Candidates who make it to the merit list will be given the appointment letter by the Bank of Candidate’s choice.

IBPS SO Exam 2017 Cut Off

The cut off for IBPS SO 2017 Exam will be released after each phase of examination is completed. The cut off for the preliminary exam will be released first followed by cut off for mains exam. Candidates can evaluate their selection chances by matching their score with the cut off list released by IBPS.
