The SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancy 2025 notification has been officially released. As per the notice, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced 1,075 vacancies for the Havaldar post in CBIC and CBN departments. However, the vacancy details for the Multitasking Staff (MTS) post are yet to be released and are currently under finalization. SSC MTS 2025 Application Form

The SSC MTS 2025 application form is available on the official SSC website. Candidates must complete the registration process online, providing accurate personal, academic, and contact details. Application fees can be paid through online modes or challan. Ensure all required documents, such as photographs and signatures, are uploaded correctly. The registration for SSC MTS 2025 will continue till 24th July 2025.

How to Apply?

Follow the simple steps to apply for SSC MTS Recruitment 2025:

1. Visit the New SSC Website: Go to https://ssc.gov.in or use the mySSC mobile app from the Play Store and Register with OTR (One-Time Registration).
2. Aadhaar Based OTR: Using Aadhaar makes the application process smoother. No need to worry about strict photo/signature rules if Aadhaar is used.
3. Live Photo Capture: The system will take your live photo — no pre-upload needed. Ensure proper lighting, eye-level camera, and plain background.
4. Upload Signature: Upload in the format JPG/JPEG with size 10–20 KB (6 cm x 2 cm)
5. Pay Application Fee: Rs. 100 for general candidates. No fee for women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen. Pay online via UPI, Net Banking, or Debit Card.
6. Before You Submit, Preview your form. Make sure photo, signature, and details are correct. Keep a copy of your submitted form.

SSC MTS 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The SSC MTS Eligibility criteria includes age limit, educational qualification, and nationality. For Havaldar post, Physical Test will also be conducted.

Nationality

• An Indian citizen, or
• A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently, or
• A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, or East African countries, intending to settle permanently.

Educational Qualification (As on 1/8/2025)

• Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or its equivalent from a recognized board or institution by the closing date of application.

Age Limit (As on 1/8/2025)

• 18-25 years: MTS and Havaldar in CBN
• 18-27 years: Havaldar in CBIC
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government rules for reserved categories:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwD: 10 years (general), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)

SSC MTS 2025 Selection Process

There are two stages for the multitasking staff post and 3 stages for Havaldar post. The exam will be conducted online in a computer based manner. Physical Test will only be conducted for the Havaldar post only. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the computer based test.

SSC MTS 2025 Exam Pattern

• The total marks for the SSC MTS Paper-I exam are 270, as per the latest pattern.
• The exam will be objective type (Multiple Choice Questions).
• Language options:
  • Session I and the General Awareness section of Session II will be available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages.
• Negative marking:
  • Session I: No negative marking.
  • Session II: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• Extra time for special candidates:
  • Visually handicapped and cerebral palsy candidates will get 45 minutes per session.

The SSC MTS Salary 2025 falls under Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200–20200) with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1800, which corresponds to Level-1 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The in-hand salary for SSC MTS employees ranges between Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 22,000 per month, depending on the location and applicable allowances.
